Several of our Platforms include an AI assistant that helps you draft, research and organize your work. Each one works only for you, the professional using it. This page explains how they work and what to keep in mind.
In short. Our assistants offer suggestions and point you to sources — the final work is always yours. You review what an assistant produces, and for research you confirm it against the source, before you rely on it.
1. The assistants, and what they do
Depending on the Platform and your plan, an assistant can:
- Draft messages, summaries, notes and documents from a short prompt.
- Rewrite something you have written in a different tone, length or format.
- Research and summarize authority for you, and point you to the source.
- Draft social media content — captions, hooks and ideas — and adapt a post across platforms.
Some of our assistants are research assistants with access to official and accepted resources for their field. For tax work, for example, that includes the Internal Revenue Code, IRS rules and published guidance, tax case law, Treasury regulations and decisions, and approved forms. They use those resources to point you to real authority rather than invented references.
Using an assistant is always your choice. Nothing is generated unless you ask for it, and nothing is sent, filed or published unless you choose to do so.
2. How they work
Our assistants are built on large language models (provided through OpenAI, by way of Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service). Where it suits the assistant's job, an assistant is also given access to curated, authoritative sources — so a research assistant can surface an actual rule, ruling, regulation, decision or form for you to review, rather than guessing.
A few things are worth knowing about how they handle your information:
- They work only with you. An assistant interacts only with you, its human handler — never with your clients or anyone else. Nothing it produces reaches a client unless you choose to send it.
- They are independent. The assistants are separate from one another. They do not talk to each other or share your information between accounts. Your assistant works for you alone.
- They do not keep long-term memory. An assistant works within your request and does not build a lasting profile of you or your clients. Your own records and files are stored separately and stay under your control, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Your information is not used to train models. Your prompts and the assistants' outputs are not used to train OpenAI's models, and are not used to train any model on our platform.
Grounding an assistant in authoritative sources makes its research much stronger. It still summarizes, though, and a summary can miss a detail or point to authority that does not fit your particular facts — so the finished work stays yours to review and confirm, which for a professional is second nature.
3. No guarantee of accuracy or suitability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Synergy Relations LLC makes no representation or warranty of any kind about content produced by our assistants, including their research summaries. We do not warrant that it is accurate, current, complete, reliable, original, non-infringing, compliant with any law, rule or policy, or fit for any particular purpose. Assistant output is provided "as is."
We do not review an assistant's output before it reaches you, and we do not review or approve what you send, file or publish. Your use of it is at your own risk, and the limitations of liability in our Terms of Service apply to it in full.
4. Not professional advice
Our assistants are drafting and research aids for professionals. Nothing an assistant produces is legal, tax, accounting, mediation, financial or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for your own professional judgment. A research assistant gathers authority for you to evaluate; the conclusion, and the work product, are yours.
If you are a regulated or licensed practitioner, you remain responsible for the work you create with our tools and for meeting your professional and ethical obligations — including, as relevant, a mediator's duties of confidentiality and impartiality, and a tax professional's duties under Internal Revenue Code section 7216, Circular 230 and IRS due-diligence requirements. Using an assistant does not reduce or transfer any of those duties.
5. Things you must not use an assistant for
In addition to the acceptable use rules in our Terms of Service, you may not use an assistant to generate:
- Content that impersonates a real person or organization, or that fabricates a quote, endorsement, signature or authority.
- Deceptive claims about a service, result, qualification or price.
- Fake reviews or testimonials, or content presented as coming from an independent person.
- Deliberate misinformation about elections, public health, or emergencies.
- Harassing, defamatory, hateful or violent content.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes or endangers children.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or a person's right of publicity.
- Anything intended to evade a platform's moderation, safety systems or account restrictions.
You also may not use an assistant's output to train, fine-tune or evaluate another machine learning model. We may suspend AI features, or your account, for violations.
6. Who owns AI-generated content
As between you and Synergy Relations LLC, you own the content an assistant generates for you, to the extent ownership rights exist in it, and you are free to use it.
Two honest caveats. First, because these models are statistical, we cannot promise your output is unique — a similar prompt from someone else may produce similar wording. Second, U.S. copyright law generally protects only work with human authorship, so purely machine-generated material may not be protectable by copyright at all. Your own edits and professional judgment are what make a piece defensible as yours.
7. Human oversight and automated decisions
Our assistants assist with drafting and research. They do not make decisions about people, and we do not use them to make or support decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on anyone — nothing in the Platforms decides on a settlement, a tax position, employment, credit, housing, insurance, education or healthcare. Because each assistant interacts only with you, and nothing it produces reaches anyone else unless you send it, every output passes through a human being — you — before it is relied on, sent, filed or published.
8. Availability and changes
AI features depend on our provider's service and on usage limits that may apply to your plan. They may be unavailable, slow or rate-limited at times, and we may change, restrict or discontinue them, or change which models or sources sit behind them. Changes can alter the style and quality of output, so please re-check results after an update rather than assuming past behavior continues.
9. Reporting a problem
If an assistant produces something harmful, biased, plainly wrong, or that appears to copy existing work, please tell us at [email protected]. Include the prompt and the output if you can. Reports genuinely help us improve safeguards.
